North Moore ready for Home Opener
Tonight, North Moore Mustangs Volleyball will play their first game of the season at home against Northwood.
Northwood is one of two new teams joining the conference with North Moore, they were a 3A team last year. “I believe the two new teams will make our conference a little more competitive,” said coach Leenheer. Southeast Alamance is the other new team joining the conference.
The team hopes to work on their chemistry this season. They lost two seniors last year, but replaced them with three girls from JV. “During the summer break, our goal was to get a little stronger and quicker on our feet. We are looking to improve our defense this year. We want more blocks from the front row and more digs from the back row,” said Leenheer.
The Mustangs finished third overall in the conference and hope to improve that this season.
They hosted a two-day camp last week where 46 kids from k-8th grade attended.
North Moore will host Northwood tonight with JV starting at 5 p.m. and Varsity at 6 p.m. MooreDailySports.com will be there to bring you coverage.
