Patriot Weekly Recap: April 25

Another strong week for Pinecrest, with several teams continuing to contend at a high level.

Girls lacrosse stayed perfect, earning wins over Union Pines (24-2) and Chapel Hill (12-9), improving to 16-0 overall (7-0 conference).

Boys lacrosse split the week, picking up a 16-6 win over Gray’s Creek before falling in a tight 13-12 battle with Union Pines. They now stand at 10-4 (7-2).

Soccer remained unbeaten, going 3-0 with wins over Overhills (5-0), Pine Forest (4-0), and continuing their strong run to 14-0-3 overall (8-0 conference).

Baseball had a big week, defeating Hoke (15-1) and Laney (4-2), helping push their record to 18-5 overall (12-1 conference)—one of the top marks in the area.

Softball picked up a 7-0 win early in the week but dropped two conference games, moving to 8-10 (2-6).

On the track, Pinecrest athletes delivered standout performances at their meet, including multiple relays wins and individual victories from athletes like Wendell Wells, Steven Dawson, and Brooke Waleski.
