Grunts weekly update
The weekly update for the Grunts is for 8/30 - 9/5
The Father Vincent Capodanno High School girls volleyball team continued their winning streak with a commanding victory over Falcon Christian Academy, marking their second triumph of the season as they set their sights on a third consecutive Coastal Carolina Christian Conference championship.
In a match filled with intensity and precision, the Lady Grunts swept the Falcon Warriors in straight sets: 25-17, 25-9, and 25-8. Senior captain Aine Murphy led the charge with five kills, while Grace Brinkmeyer led the team with five aces to fuel the team’s momentum.
The Lady Grunts are now 2–0 on the season, building on the legacy of back-to-back conference titles in 2023 and 2024. With a deep roster of experienced players and rising stars, Capodanno is emerging as a powerhouse in the C4 Conference once again.
The team’s next matchup is scheduled for September 8th against Brookside Christian Academy, where they’ll look to continue their dominant run and inch closer to a historic third straight title.
