Mustang Weekly Recap - May 9

North Moore wrapped up its week with postseason softball and baseball action along with a strong regular season finish in soccer.

The #19 softball team opened the week with a big 11-2 win over #14 Wake Prep in the first round of the NCHSAA 3A playoffs. Their run came to an end in the second round at #3 Farmville Central, falling 6-3 to finish the season 8-14.

The #22 baseball team also made the postseason, traveling to #11 Northwood in the first round of the NCHSAA 3A playoffs. The Mustangs were shut out 6-0, closing the year at 5-14.

On the soccer field, North Moore closed out its regular season with a strong 4-3 win over Southwestern Randolph. The Mustangs finished the year 12-6-1 overall and 5-4 in conference play. They will head into the playoffs this week, they earned a seven seed. The lady Mustangs will host the winner between #10 Providence and #23 Bartlett Yancey in the second round next Thursday.
